Server-to-server API

Endpoints your backend calls with the application secret.

Authenticate with two headers:

x-app-id: <slug>
x-app-secret: au1h_sk_…

The secret is shown once when the application is created or its secret is regenerated. Only a hash is stored. Keep it server-side.

GET /api/apps/me

Confirms the credentials.

{ "application": { "id": "…", "slug": "todo" } }

POST /api/apps/introspect

{ "token": "<au1h JWT or raw session token>" }

Returns 200 always; active tells you the answer, so the endpoint does not leak which check failed.

{
  "active": true,
  "via": "jwt",
  "user": { "id": "…", "email": "[email protected]", "name": "John" },
  "expiresAt": 1788629508
}
  • A JWT is verified offline and must have been minted for your application.
  • A raw session token is looked up in your application's tenant: sign-out, revocation and bans take effect immediately.

Errors: 401 for missing or wrong credentials, 429 when rate-limited.
